Multi Push MP70

Tube end forming machine delivering progressive ram forming operations.

Overview

The profiled forming tools are slotted onto a rotary drum. The drum is indexed mechanically using a Geneva drive which provides accurate indexing and smooth sinuous acceleration profile. This is driven by a reversible AC geared motor.

The vice hydraulically driven and arranged in an open-sided manner allowing acutely bent tubes to gripped without fouling the machine body.

The forming operation is hydraulically driven. The position of the tool measured using a linear transducer which does not require homing before use. The position is operated in a closed loop control with a servo-proportional valve.

Operation of the machine is by two hand control; push buttons to the front of the machine and a touch screen HMI. Tool position, indexing order are programmable from the touchscreen

Main Features and Benefits

Rotary Tool Carousel

Reduces machine size overall giving more flexibility in production environments
Maximum indexing moves to any given tool is ½ of a linear tool rack

Tool stations

Allows multiple jobs to be tooled up on the machine at one time

Quick Change Tooling;

Tube Vice Grippers and push tooling require 1 bolt to retain
All tool components are slide in and self aligning.

Open sided vice;

allows end forming on acutely bent tubes

Optional Rotary Forming

Allows flare forming or deburring tools to be included within the process sequence

Compact Foot print

Valuable floor space is saved compared to horizontal shuttle progressive ram forming machines
